Midfielder Gershon Koffie back to business with Whitecaps ahead of MLS season

Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie has begun pre-season training with Vancouver Whitecaps ahead of the 2016 MLS campaign.

Koffie, who was key for the Canadian side last year, is readying to play his sixth MLS season for the club he joined in 2010.

He made 30 appearances- including 24 starts- and scored one goal.

The 24-year-old helped Caps to win the Canadian Championship and will play in the CONCACAF Champions League this year.
