Mihajlovic to have final say on former AC Milan star Kevin-Prince Boateng return

AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic holds the key to Kevin-Prince Boateng earning a contract to re-join the Rossoneri, according to the player’s agent.

The 28-year-old has agreed a contract termination with former employers Schalke 04, having been suspended by the Bundesliga outfit in May for bad behaviour as Die Knappen sought an end to the poor form that saw their challenge for Champions League football fade dramatically.

“Sinisa [Mihajlovic] knows the history of Boateng and Milan but at the moment there is nothing more to it,” said Boateng’s agent Federico Pastorello to SportItalia, now that Boateng is back training with Milan.

“They have opened the doors of Milanello to us and after that if Boateng signs for Milan it will be solely and exclusively based on Mihajlovic’s go-ahead.

“We were able to resolve the contract situation with Schalke in a positive way and he is now free to choose where to go, so Milan welcomed him to train with the first team for two months.”

Ghanian international Boateng enjoyed a successful three years with the Diavolo during his first spell at the club, lifting the 2010/11 Serie A crown before leaving for Schalke in 2013.
