AC Milan could target a move for RB Leipzig's star striker Timo Werner in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Werner has hit 21 goals in 25 league games this season for third-placed RB Leipzig and is attracting reported interest from a number of different clubs.

Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Liverpool have been credited with interest and some outlets have even claimed that they will pay his €60m release clause, which expires at the end of April.

According to what SportMediaset's Claudio Raimondi has said (via MilanNews, Milan could move for a surprise name to reinforce their attack this summer.

The situation relating to Milik is getting bogged down, as Napoli do not seem willing to back down from their demands of €40m in cash with no counterparts.

As a result, the Milan leadership may turn to the Bundesliga, and the potential arrival of Ralf Ragnick could in fact facilitate dialogue with Leipzig for Timo Werner.

To lower the cost, Hakan Calhanoglu could be inserted into the deal (valued at around €20million), while Lucas Paqueta could also be sold to raise funds.
