Milan offer contract to outbound Real Madrid star Marcelo

Milan have reportedly offered soon-to-be free agent Marcelo a contract, keen to pick up the Real Madrid star.

The 34-year-old Brazilian full back's contract is expiring with the Spanish giants at the end of this month and his deal will not be renewed, making him available to sign on a free transfer this summer. Marcelo spent 15 years of his career in Madrid and he won a number of major honours including five Champions League trophies and six La Liga titles.

As reported by AS, Milan are interested in picking up Marcelo this summer and have offered him a contract worth €3m net per season. At the moment, however, the 34-year-old is not convinced about the move to Lombardy as he’d be halving the salary he currently earns with Real Madrid.

Things could develop over the summer, but the Rossoneri would be facing competition from a number of top European clubs.
