Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac is expected to announce his squad for next month's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
The Serbian coach returns to Ghana for a second stint and was officially unveiled to the public on Friday at a press briefing held by the Ghana Football Association.
The 67-year-old arrived in the West African country a week ago to begin his monitoring and also name his squad for the doubleheader.
GHANAsoccernet.com understands that Coach Rajevac was expected to name his squad at the unveiling on Friday but asked the Ghana FA to understudy the current squad.
Former Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor, who was sacked this month had already named the Black Stars squad to face Zimbabwe.
According to sources invitations had been sent out to the players as the Ghana FA must inform their clubs two weeks before their release.
However, Milovan Rajevac who takes over the Black Stars job has asked the Ghana FA to assess the invited players before announcing his final squad.
Ghana's biggest football website understands that Rajevac might ring changes to the squad as he assesses their performances in the previous games.
Some players to have played under Akonnor may not be making a return to the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifiers next month.
