Ghana winger Andre Ayew heralded Olympique Marseille's Europa League campaign by scoring two goals in Thursday's 3-0 win over Turkish side Eski?ehirspor.

Andre carried Elie Baup's side on his shoulders scoring in the 7th and 66th minutes respectively.

His younger brother Jordan Ayew was a 73rd minute substitute.

Genk left out signing Bernard Yao Kumordzi out of their squad that defeated Kazakhstan side Aktobe 2-1 to progress 4-2 on aggregate.

Norwegians Rosenborg BK had a narrow escape after Swiss side FC Servette held them to a 0-0 draw in Trondheim.

Former Red Star Belgrade midfielder Awal-Issah Mohammed lasted the entire duration of the tie for the Norwegians.

Former Ghana U20 striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari came off the bench to play 18 minutes of AIK Stockholm's 1-0 defeat at Polish side Lech Poznan.

But AIK sealed a 3-1 aggregate win.

Swedish-born Ghanaian forward Robin Quaison warmed the AIK bench while Edward Owusu was left out of the squad.

Nine-man Arsenal Kiev won 2-0 at Slovenia but are eliminated from the competition after being handed a forfeited 3-0 defeat by UEFA for fielding an ineligible player in the first leg.

This is bad news for Dominic Adiyiah and Abeiku Quansah, all members of the 2009 Ghana Under-20 team who won the FIFA Youth World Cup.
