Colorado Rapids have exercised contract option to retain Ghanaian midfielder Bismark Adjei-Boateng for the 2019 Major League Soccer season.
Adjei-Boateng has been an instrumental figure for the Rapids since joining from Manchester City in 2016.
The 24-year-old was one of 14 players who the club have exercised the option to extend their contracts for the 2019 campaign.
Goalkeepers: Tim Howard and Zac MacMath
Defenders: Kortne Ford, Marlon Hairston, Axel Sjöberg, Tommy Smith, Sam Vines and Danny Wilson;
Midfielders: Cole Bassett, Nana Boateng, Johan Blomberg, Sam Nicholson and Jack Price
Forward: Shkëlzen Gashi.
Meanwhile, contract options for defenders Kip Colvey and Mike da Fonte; midfielders Giles Barnes, Sam Hamilton, Enzo Martinez and Ricardo Perez; and forwards Caleb Calvert and Jack McBean were declined.
Boateng scored once in 20 games for the Rapids in the just-ended Major Soccer League season.
