Empoli midfielder Afriyie Acquah has been identified as a potential signing for MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, GHANASoccernet.com understands.
The Ghana international is on a season long loan move at the Italian Serie A side from Torino but is a free agent in the summer of 2019.
Whitecaps new coach Marc Dos Santos could sign the box-to-box midfielder for the upcoming MLS season.
The Canadian side has 13 open roster spots, 8 of which can be internationals and 3 Designated Player spots and Acquah could fill one of these spots.
Acquah has been one of key performers this season making 12 appearances.
