MLS trio Mensah, Accam and Afful donate undisclosed sum to help combat COVID-19

US-based trio Jonathan Mensah, David Accam and Harrison Afful have contributed an undisclosed amount of money to help the fight against coronavirus.

The MLS stars have contributed their widow's mite to help deal with the deadly disease back home.

It is being coordinated by local NGO One Ghana who have acquired gloves, industrial soap, Sanitizers, detergents, mouth and nose guards etc.

The health material has been distributed to some communities in Accra and Tema fight the spread.

Mensah has been installed captain of Columbus Crew where Afful also plays as first choice right back.

Accam signed for expansion club Nashville SC this season and featured for the club before the league was halted.
