MO Bejaia defender Salim Benali has been handed a four-match suspension and fined US$ 5,000 for punching a stretcher-bearer at the Essipong Stadium during their Confederation Cup match last month.

The 26-year-old reacted after being expelled for violent conduct.

MO Bejaia were playing their second Group A match and earned a 0-0 draw.

This means Benali will miss the remainder of the Group matches
