Mo Salah wants to STAY at Liverpool 'as long as he can'

Mo Salah has insisted he wants to stay at Liverpool after flirting with Real Madrid and Barcelona - but claims his future will be decided by the club.

The Egyptian stunned supporters last month when he admitted he was open to the idea of a continuing his career in Spain with one of LaLiga's biggest clubs.

And despite Jurgen Klopp playing down the prospect of Liverpool losing Salah, the former Roma star has again suggested that a move may not be out of the question.

Asked where his future lies by Norwegian channel TV2, Salah said: 'I do not know.

'If you ask, I say I want to stay here as long as I can, but as I have said before, it is in the hands of the club.

'I will always give 100 per cent to the last minute I am in this club and I want to win as many trophies as I can.

'And I want to give 100 per cent to the people, who show me love all the time.'

Salah's latest comments come just a month after he sent shockwaves around Anfield after giving an interview to Spanish publication AS.

Asked about a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, the 28-year-old said: 'I think Madrid and Barcelona are two top clubs.

'Who knows what will happen in the future, but right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again.'

When pressed on his future, Salah insisted everything was in Liverpool's hands, adding: 'That's a tough question, but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club.

'Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club.'

More to follow.
