Mohammed Abu thrilled with Nations Cup debut

midfielder Mohammed Abu says he feels elated after making his Nations Cup debut in a hard earned 1-0 victory over Botswana on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old replaced Andre Ayew with two minutes of regulation time remaining.

The nimble-footed player says though he came on at the dying embers he feels happy to have made his Ghana debut.

"It's very good for me because it is very great to play at the Nations Cup," the on-loan Eintracht Frankfurt player told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Big players with records and history have played at this tournament so for me, it is very great moment. I hope to get more playing time."
