Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed has denied allegations he is the one engineering a move away from the club.

The 24-year-old claims to have been prevented from taking a required club medical because he has been sold to rivals Hearts of Oak.

Kotoko’s spokesman Listowell Yesu Bukarson however told MTNFootball.com on Monday the player had expressed the desire to leave the club and that Kotoko will not stand in his way.

But the former OGC Nice player says this allegation is palpably false.

“I have never expressed the desire to leave Kotoko,” he told Hot FM.

“If the club wants to sell me they should go ahead to do it without involving me.

“I remain a Kotoko player and I am ready to continue to serve the club so there is no way I will engineer a move away from the club.”

Mohammed missed most part of Kotoko’s surge to the Premier League trophy last season through injury.
