Ex-Ghana international Mohammed Gargo is to stay put at Real Tamale United despite guiding the club to relegation this term, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

A string of poor results revoked the club's 33-year top-flight status.

Gargo is expected to face the sack but GHANAsoccernet.com sources say he will be asked to stay to enable him time and space to guide the side back to the premiership at a canter.

The former Udinese player's reign was characterized by boardroom division.

The Board of Directors favouring Turk Telat Uzum while he enjoyed the backing of the management team.

The 35-year-old blamed the rift in the hierarchy of the club as the chief reason for their demotion.

He said: "I know what happened to us was painful and I will not like to turn my back on the club and make sure I become part of the side that will qualify the side back to the premier league."
