Mohammed Kudus confident FC Nordsjælland will keep momentum after coronavirus break

FC Nordsjælland forward Mohammed Kudus is confident his side will maintain their momentum due to the break amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The side was flying high in the Superliga before the temporal suspension of the country's top-flight league back in March due to the outbreak.

But the hugely sought-after versatile youngster remains confident the momentum in the team will not wane.

"Although this Corona break came at an inconvenient time when we were in a strong period, it should not change our mentality and approach to the game. So, while the break may have a bearing on our performance, it should not take our eyes off the target. We still have to go into the matches with the same mentality and energy we had earlier in the season," he said

"Now we have two tough matches that we have to go through before the Super League is divided. Obviously we are going to get into the top-6, so we are in the championship game. After the match against FC Central Jutland we have to set a new goal, but it could be fun to chase third place so we can play European football next season. However, the most important thing is to take one fight at a time.

"Personally, I will try to do even better than I did before the break. However, I think it’s going to be harder and more challenging because the teams have had longer to study how we play. And there are going to be more big matches because it is the championship game. So it inspires me to do even more because there is more at stake. I still have a lot more to offer, so I will work hard to continue delivering good performance."
