Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has expressed his opinion that Mohammed Kudus, the talented Ghanaian midfielder, should be playing for a top-tier club instead of struggling with West Ham in the Premier League.
Carragher believes Kudus' poor form is a significant factor contributing to West Ham's disappointing 2024-2025 campaign.
Kudus had an impressive 2023-2024 season, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists in 33 league games. However, this season, he has struggled to replicate his form, managing only four goals and three assists in 31 appearances.
Carragher notes that Kudus "looked fantastic" last season but hasn't shown the same level of performance this season.
“There is no doubt he's a quality player who should be playing for a team I would say closer to the top of the table not near the bottom right now,"
Carragher said. "Last season, he looked fantastic, just hasn’t looked the same player this season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a change.”
West Ham closes out the league season with a match against Ipswich Town on May 25.
