Morocco legend Hadji tips Toure for Caf award

Ex Morocco international Mustapha Hadji says Yaya Toure deserves the Caf Player of the Year award more than his other competitors.

The Ivorian international is in contention with Ghana’s Andre Ayew and Seydou Keita of Mali for Africa’s most prestigious award.

And though the Moroccan legend admits the race is close to call; he believes the Manchester City midfielder shades it because he has been consistent in his performance for some time now.

“There are all very good players with unique qualities,” Hadji told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“It is very difficult to pick one but I think Toure deserves it more because he has been there for a very long time.”

The winner of the award will be announced in a few hours at a colorful ceremony being held at the Statre Banquet Hall in Accra.
