Mourinho has no qualms with Diego Costa behaviour after Chelsea omission

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists there is no big issue between he and Diego Costa.

The Portuguese tactician opted to keep the Spanish striker on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of Sunday's 0-0 draw with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

The omission comes after the pair argued at half-time of the midweek Champions League clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv but Mourinho insists the decision was made for this game in particular and that Costa's antics, when tossing the subs bib over his shoulder near the end, did not at all bother him.

"If he wants to hurt me, it's not with a bib. I have a good relationship with him, no problems," said the Blues manager.

"I think Diego is very privileged because he was the last one to be (put) on the bench.

"Everybody was on the bench. I kept him in the team for all these matches and today we thought the best strategy to play was this one. We are happy with the decision."

Mourinho added: "A top player going on the bench, they are not happy.

"For me his behaviour was normal. He was ready to play when they went to warm up."
