The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA has declared Dreams FC winners of the MTN FA Cup game with Unique FC which ended suddenly after fans of the home side invaded the pitch in the second half.
Following the ruling, Unique FC have been ordered to cough GHC625.00 to be given to Dreams FC to cover their transportation cost.
According to the ruling, Unique FC are facing the punishment for failing to provide adequate security to control their fans who invaded the field and physically assaulted the referee leading to the abrupt end of the game.
Even though Unique FC failed to file for a defence, the DC went ahead with the proceeding as mandated by the General Regulations of the Football Association declaring Dreams FC winners of the game, hence proceeding to the next stage of the competition.
