Liberty Professionals playmaker Mubarak Alhassan has revealed when had tough start at the Dansoman-based side.

The Kumasi-born, 17, lost his position in the starting XI after poor display in his first match against Legon Cities FC.

After being benched in their next two matches, Alhassan recaptured his verve and went on to become a firm staple of the side.

He scored five goals and made five assists in the league before its suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak.

''My first game was against Legon Cities at Accra. It was very difficult because that was my first game in the premier league. I had a bumpy start because I didn't know what I was doing on the field in the match against Legon Cities,'' Alhassan told Kumasi FM.

''Due to this, I was on the bench in our next two league games against Berekum Chelsea and Medeama. I took advantage of that to work hard and double my training session before I played the next game from bench against Dwarfs, which I got the equalizer.

''Since then I haven't look back as a young player, starting all the games and playing 90mins for Liberty Professionals.''
