Ghana midfielder Wakaso Mubarak says he is fine and in good condition after his involvement in a serious car accident in Spain on Sunday morning.

The Alaves midfielder was heading to the town of Loiu, 12 kilometers from Bilbao, to take a flight to his country to join the Black Stars for the match against Sierra Leone when the accident occurred.

Wakaso's car hit the railing of the motorway as he drove in rainy conditions on his way to the airport for the journey to Ghana to join the national team.

His top-flight club Alaves said the player sustained no injuries and continued his way to the airport and the player expressed his gratitude to God over surviving the accident.

''Estoy muy bien gracias a DIOS '' which translates 'I'm very well thank God.''

The 28-year-old has been invited for Ghana's double header against Sierra Leone in Accra and Freetown.

He has been in top form for the Spanish La Liga side and lasted the entire duration in Saturday's 1-0 win over giants Real Madrid.
