Mubarak Wakaso delighted to win Chinese Super League with Jiangsu Suning

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has expressed delight in making history with Chinese Super League side after leading the club to their first ever title.

The midfielder has been key to Jiangsu Suning's success after playing a pivotal role enroute to the final and played an important role in today's victory.

"We are the champions, history time. All thanks to ALLAH, also family and friends my team mates and our amazing supporters," he posted on Twitter.


The midfield supremo was monstrous with tackles and splitting passes that helped the home side to win the second-leg of the match 2-1 after the first-leg finished 0-0 last week against the star-studded side.

Goals by Eder Martins and Alex Teixeira in both halves of the game respectively before the consolation by Evergrande's Wei Shihao sealed the title for Wakaso's club.

It was Wakaso's first career title following his move from Spanish side Deportivo Alaves earlier this year to the Chinese side who were keen on boost their squad.
