Muntari attributes luck to Ghana opener against Lesotho

Ghana stand-in captain Sulley Muntari says he fortuitously scored the opener against Lesotho in the 2014 World Cup qualifier.

The AC Milan ace was teed up from a free-kick and then cut inside the box before curling one into the top right corner.

"It just came like that. I just wanted to put the ball in for someone, but the ball just went into the net,'' Muntari said.

The 27-year-old also praised head coach Kwesi Appiah and his assistants for getting the best from the players.

"I am very happy for the team and the performance and I am also very happy with the head coach and deputy for their roles in this victory.''
