The midfielder suffered the setback while playing in the English Premier League and travelled to join the Black Stars despite the injury.

Ghana team doctors have worked on the problem and he is responding to treatment.

He is likely to start kicking on Friday which will be a massive boost for the Black Stars ahead of the vital game in Brazzaville.

Ghana must be Congo to brighten their chances of reaching the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
