Muntari confirms he could leave Inter

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has confirmed he could leave European champions Inter Milan if he is denied playing time at the club.

The 26-year-old has been battling for space with MacDonald Mariga under the Rafa Benitez reign.

The midfielder was dropped from the bench for last week’s 0-0 draw with Juventus and left the stadium before kick-off rather than stay to watch his teammates.

Muntari was made to apologize to the head coach and his team mates but has hinted at leaving the club in the January transfer.

"Going away? Why not? I am a football player, not someone to just pick up his salary,” he told skysports.com.

"I love football and want to play every day. I am an ambitious player and want to play every day.

“My place is not in the stands; my place is on the field. When I don't play, I've let myself down, the fans and everyone.”

A return to the Premier League is likely for the former Portsmouth midfielder.
