Sulley Muntari is not angry over the decision to exclude him from Ghana squad to play Zambia next month after the Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah explained his decision to him.

AC Milan ace was not included in Appiah's squad to face the Chipolopolo in the decisive World Cup qualifier on 6 September in Kumasi.

The GFA had also accepted a written apology from Muntari for an incident in the dressing room following the 2-0 win over Lesotho in June.

Despite this Appiah has not called on his services which has raised some concerns.

But GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that coach Appiah phoned the influential player to tell him of the decision and he is happy to be informed.

“The coach himself spoke to Muntari and he is cool with it and so i don’t think there is any problem with that decision.” Kwesi Nyantakyi said.

The late arrival of his apology is the reason for his exclusion as he had already formed his squad and sent invites to players.

Muntari had earlier phoned the coach to over his sincere apologies over the dressing room incident in Lesotho in June.
