Midfielder Sulley Muntari has surrendered his no.11 squad number to Inter Milan's latest acquisition, Ricardo Alvarez.

The Ghana international now have to make do with the no.77 shirt further fueling speculation of his imminent departure from the Italian giants.

The 27-year-old who spent the last half of last season at English side Sunderland only returned to find out his favoured shirt had been handed to the new signing.

However the feisty personality is reported to have had accepted the change in good faith as he looks ahead to stake a permanent place in Gian Piero Gasperini's side.

Muntari had used his new shirt number all through pre-season but has now been made his official jersey after publication on Inter's website.
