Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has been named among the highest African earners in the Italian top flight.

The Inter Milan enforcer’s two million Euros annual salary makes him the second highest paid African players in the Serie A.

The African list is topped by Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o whose eight million Euros annual salary makes him the best paid player from the continent.

Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng also features prominently with his one million Euros annual salary.

The statistics revealed by the Italian sports media outfit Gazzetta dello Sport, makes Eto’o is the second-highest paid footballer in the Serie A.

On a salary worth €8 million per year, the Indomitable Lions’ captain is hot on the heels of his predecessor at the Nerazzurri and successor at Barca, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who signed a €9m per year contract with AC Milan last August.

Former Barcelona master dribbler Ronaldinho - who now plays for the Rossoneri - comes third on the list with an annual earning of €7.5m.

Other African pros figure on the list as well but far behind. Algerian trio Abdelkader Ghezzal (Siena), Mourad Meghni (Lazio) and Hassan Yebda (Napoli) respectively earn €600,000, €400,000 and €700,000 per year.

The salaries of Stephen Appiah and Kwadwo Asamoah was not revealed.
