Muntari reveals injury strife

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has spoken of his frustration as he returns to AC Milan training after six months on the sidelines.

The 28-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while on holiday in Ghana in June.

Muntari was on track to recovery before he suffered a jolt at training in November.

The former Inter Milan midfielder has revealed his long frustrations while in the treatment room.

"I was sad without football, I could not wait to bounce back onto the field and play alongside De Jong, but things have gone well so I'm happy," he told Milan Adictos.

"Now it's up to the coach to decide whether to play me but I'm ready to play where Allegri wants to play, the important thing for me is to return to the field."

"For the match against Reggina all depends on the coach, but I'm ready."
