Menaye Donkor, wife of Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari, has donated an undisclosed amount of money to a Supporters Group for the Nations Cup.
She took the initiate to support the Die Hard Supporters Union with the booty that will see them cheer the Black Stars.
Government has confirmed it will not offer any financial hold up to anybody to back the fans.
Many Ghanaian splinter groups were hoping to fly out to support the Black Stars in numbers but the high cost involved has scuppered their plans.
With the Black Stars keen to win their first African crown in 30 years, it is widely believed a huge supporter base can help cheer the team to victory.
