German-born Ghanaian, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, has revealed that he was inspired by his father to choose the Black Stars over Germany.

The 20-year-old has decided to play for Ghana, his father's country, over the country of his birth Germany.

According to the Hamburg striker, his father will be proud when he finally plays for the four times African champions.

"My father comes from Ghana, he would be very proud of me if I could now play for his fatherland. In addition, it is probably easier to become a national team player there," he told the Bild.

Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has represented Germany at youth levels and was recently a member of the U21 team.

However, the young attacker believes Ghana will give him a better and fast international career than Germany.

The youngster joined Hamburg SV in the summer transfer window from Dynamo Dresden. Yeboah Konigsdorffer has netted two goals for the club.
