Dutch born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu has revealed that he went "completely crazy" after AZ Alkmaar were paired in the same group with Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League.

The Dutch club were paired alongside the Red Devils, Astana and Partizan Belgrade in Group L of the competition.

Boadu disclosed he is a big fan of the English giants and is eager to face the 20 times English champions.

"I went completely crazy. Manchester United is my favorite foreign club. Always been," he told vi.nl.

"We were on the bus during the draw, back from Belgium after our game against Antwerp. I saw that the chance became increasingly greater that we would come into the group at United.

"I already shouted on the bus beforehand that it would happen. So when that also came true, I just sat there screaming for joy."

Despite Manchester United looking like the toughest side in the group, the 18-year old says it is a tough group to navigate.

"It is a tough group, with Partizan Belgrade and Astana. But I think we can achieve something beautiful," he said.

"In the group we have already mentioned that we should not have too much respect for United. Then you go off with 5-0.

"We can play football really well and have spirit in the team. We also have to dare to show that on Old Trafford. These are the competitions you dream of as a child."
