Ghana defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is unlikely to play for Wolverhampton Wanderers again after a frustrating spell at the club due to injury, the Birmingham Mail has claimed.

The 26-year-old has been sent out on a season long loan at Germany third-tier side Hansa Rostock but appears he won't be returning to the English side.

The mythical Ghanaian never made an appearance all season for the side due to recurrent injuries.

Ayeh moved to Molineux on a free transfer from Eintracht Braunschweig in the summer of 2017 but the defender failed to establish himself due to injuries.

He is contracted to the club until 2020 but appears his immediate future lies elsewhere.

One will have to feel for the one-capped Ghana international who is on his way to being one of the most forgettable signings made by Wolves this side of the century.
