Nania FC captain Lawrence Lartey says they will ensure Asante Kotoko end the season trophy-less by beating the MTN FA Cup holders in Sunday's final.

The second-tier side, owned and coached by Ghana football legend Abedi Pele, are the underdogs against a Kotoko side aiming to play in Africa next year.

But defender Lartey says the Legon-based side have been boosted by the elimination of league champions Berekum Chelsea to make history at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"After ending the season without a trophy, Kotoko wants to win this to appease their fans but will not allow this. We will let them disappoint their fans," he told Accra-based Oman FM

Kotoko won the last edition of the competition ten years ago in a 1-0 win over city-rivals King Faisal in Accra.
