Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain maintains that his side are still very much in the running for the Scudetto this season.
The Argentine talisman netted two goals in Napoli’s 3-1 triumph over Genoa which keeps the Partenopei just three points behind Juventus at the top of the table and the Argentine recognises the importance of this victory.
“The dream is still possible,” Higuain told Premium Sport.
“It was a difficult match, especially since we conceded early.
“We must continue on with this desire and fight for the final eight matches after the international break.”
Higuain’s latest brace takes his Serie A tally to 29 and this season’s continued success has further elevated his status with the Napoli faithful.
“The love of Naples fills me with great pride, I thank the fans for their continuing support,” the 28-year-old concluded.
