The National Women’s League proposed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) is set to commence on 9 March, 2019 after female club owners and administrators agreed to participate in the competition.

The league will see 16 teams from the Northern and Southern Zone battle it out for the ultimate. Each club participating in this tournament will receive Gh¢7,500 as participating fee , whilst the clubs that progresses to the quarter and semi-final stage would take Gh¢3000.00 and Gh¢5000.00 respectively, according to the Normalisation Committee.

On the otherhand the ultimate prize for the tournament was not made known during the meeting with the clubs.

The clubs have been grouped into four where Fabulous Ladies, Ashtown Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy and Supreme Ladies are housed in Group A.

Pearlpia Ladies, Northern Ladies, Prisons Ladies, and Ampem Darkoa paired with Group B whilst Group C is made up of Sealions, Soccer Intellectuals, Hassacas Ladies and LadyStrikers.
