Nations head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has declared his team’s strong desire and preparation to win the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League title, following an impressive run of form.
Speaking after his side secured a crucial 2-0 victory over regional rivals, Mingle expressed confidence in Nations FC’s capacity to claim their first-ever league crown.
The result not only underlined their title credentials but also extended their winning streak to five consecutive matches in the league.
The Kumasi-based side has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence in recent weeks, with notable wins including a landmark away victory against Hearts of Oak.
Their latest triumph over Kotoko has solidified their position in second place on the league table, just two points adrift of current leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, who sit on 53 points.
In his post-match remarks, Mingle stressed that his squad is not only well-prepared for the domestic title challenge but also ready for the potential demands of continental competition should they secure the championship.
“We are ever ready to win the league. All the teams participating [in the league] are aiming at the ultimate. No one is participating for participating sake. We’ve prepared for everything and we know we can win and when we win too we are prepared for Africa,” Mingle said.
With six rounds of matches remaining, Nations FC remain firmly in the hunt for the Premier League title.
Mingle’s side will continue their campaign on April 27 with a visit to Berekum Chelsea, another challenging fixture in what promises to be a tense finish to the season.
