Nations FC defender Emmanuel Boahen has opened up about his failed move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko during the summer transfer window.

The enterprising right-back came close to joining the Porcupine Warriors after stellar campaign with Nations FC but the move fell through.

Boahen caught the attention of the Porcupine Warriors after delivering a top-class performance in the Ghanaian top-flight as Nations FC finished 7th in their debut campaign.

“Few things didn’t work out for me to join Kotoko. I had to return to Nations FC because I was having a contract with them” he told Kessben FM, as followed by Ghanasoccernet.com.

Meanwhile, Boahen has reiterated that it is their target to clinch the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

“Our objective is to win the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season. We are determined to grind results in our games to better our chances” he said.

The Abrankese-based club are currently second on the domestic top-flight standings, just a point behind log leaders Bibiani Goldstars after 12 matches into the campaign.
