Nations FC prepared to play in Africa – Coach Kassim Mingle

Head coach of Nations Football Club, Kassim Ocansey Mingle, says his side is not only chasing the Ghana Premier League title but is also fully prepared to represent Ghana in continental football next season.

Mingle made the remarks after Nations FC defeated regional rivals Asante Kotoko 2-0 in a crucial league match that kept them firmly in the title race.

The victory was their fifth straight win in the competition and underscored the team’s growing confidence as the season approaches its final stretch.

Nations FC, currently second on the 18-team league table, trail leaders Bibiani Gold Stars by just two points.

With six matches left to play, the race for the title is wide open—and Mingle believes his team has what it takes to go all the way.

“We are ever ready to win the league. All the teams participating are aiming at the ultimate. No one is participating for participating’s sake. We’ve prepared for everything, and we know we can win. And when we do, we are prepared for Africa,” he said after the game.

Nations’ recent form has been impressive, with victories over top sides including Accra Hearts of Oak away from home. The result against Kotoko further strengthened their push for a historic first league title.

The team’s next assignment comes on April 27 when they face Berekum Chelsea—another tough test as they aim to keep the pressure on Gold Stars.
