NC Special Competition to be reinstated- Patrick Akoto

Spokesperson for the Ghana Premier League clubs, Patrick Akoto has hinted the canceled Special Competition will be reinstated in a week or two after the Premier League clubs, Normalisation  Committee(NC) and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and Culture held a successful meeting on the issue on Wednesday

The Special Competition was earlier called off after the Normalisation Committee and the Premier League clubs failed to agree on the financial details of the competition.

Government had allocated  $1.2 million to the NC to kick start local football in the country.

"Hopefully within next week or next two weeks we should be able to kick start with the special competition", Patrick Akoto told Happy FM on the outcome of the meeting.

He indicated  that the financial details of the competition which had become a huge problem between the Premier Legaue clubs and the NC were discussed at the meeting.

"We touched on the financial breakdowns and fixtures of the special competition. Kurt Okraku, Randy Abbey and Cudjoe Fianoo delivered brilliant presentations to the parliamentary select committee and they expressed their satisfactions.

"Everything will be ironed out in the next meeting with the parliamentary select committee with representatives from the Normalization committee ,Hon Isaac Asiamah , Division one and premier league clubs, he added.
