Ghana forward Andre Ayew will not have his favourite number 10 for now at new club Al Sadd.
Ayew will wear number 24, it was revealed on Thursday after signing his contract.
The Black Stars captain has signed a contract reported to be three years and will reward him $220,000 per month.
Ghanasoccernet.com understands Ayew will pay no tax.
At Al Sadd, Ayew is expected to dominate Qatar as well as make the club a strong force in the Asian Champions League.
He will have the opportunity to tap into knowledge of Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez.
Ayew became a free agent early this month as his contract with Swansea officially expired.
