Defender Seth Owusu admits there is pressure on Hearts of Oak to deliver a trophy this season but he is taking it in his stride.

The 21-year-old is one of the big name signings made by the Phobians this off-season in their bid to reclaim the Premier League trophy they last won in 2009 from rivals Asante Kotoko.

Owusu who arrived from Medeama says the players are coping well despite the enormous pressure on the team to deliver.

“Hearts is a big team as compared to Medeama and they have been hungry for a trophy for the past three years,” he told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

“Therefore I think there is a little bit pressure at the club but as a matured player you should be able to manage and soak the pressure.

“We the player they have brought in I believe are determined to deliver to the club because that is why we were brought to the club.”

Owusu has played for Ghana at both the U-17 and U-20 level.

He spent part of last season in the US where he was on loan with Chivas.
