Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Social Responsibility (SR) Committee met on Tuesday at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur and discussed new models of funding for social responsibility causes from areas such as the AFC Champions League prize money.

The SR Committee was chaired by Mr Ahmed Eid S. Al Harbi, who announced that HRH Sultan Bin Fahad Al Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia was also ready to donate to the AFC’s social responsibility causes in the coming years.

The SR Committee also discussed the best ways of ensuring that any future funds are distributed for the benefit of social development in Asia in an ever more transparent way and they will consider the potential models at their next meeting early in 2017.
