John Ansah, the newly elected Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA), has strongly condemned the violent disturbances that occurred during the league match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko, describing them as "barbaric".

Ansah urged stakeholders to find a solution to hooliganism, stressing that it cannot be allowed to continue.

"We cannot continue to lose lives in the name of football. It is unacceptable. The entire football fraternity must come together to find lasting solutions to these security challenges," he stated.

The disturbances led to the tragic death of one supporter, and six suspects have been arrested in connection with the violence.

The Police have assured the public of thorough investigations to ensure the perpetrators are identified and made to face the law.

Ansah's condemnation of hooliganism is a step in the right direction, as he has expressed his determination to foster unity and collaboration among stakeholders in Ghana football, prioritizing inclusivity and transparency. His leadership is expected to bring about positive change in the sport.
