The Sunday Mirror reports that Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is on the verge of signing a new deal with the club that will see him manage the magpies in the Championship.
The Tyneside club brought in Benitez this year in the hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League, however, it was too little too late and the club went down anyway. Many thought the former Real Madrid manager would abandon ship, but it now appears like he is willing to stay.
