Newcastle United star Christian Atsu is yet to join Ghana's squad in Nairobi for the penultimate qualifier against Uganda on Sunday.
The winger has been a doubt after picking up an injury in his side's 1-1 draw with Liverpool last Sunday in the English Premier League.
Reports in the local media claim the 2015 AFCON MVP has withdrawn from Ghana's squad but the Ghana FA is yet to confirm his absence.
Ghana have already lost key players Asamoah Gyan, Jonathan Mensah, Harrison Afful and Thomas Agyepong due to injuries.
Meanwhile, Andre and Jordan Ayew were not invited by coach Kwesi Appiah.
