Newcastle United have upped their bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

Newcastle had a £21m bid turned down on Sunday, Stoke are also in the hunt and Tottenham are set to make a late move before the winter window closes on Monday night.

The Toon have returned this morning with a new £24m offer.

The Baggies are hoping to drive up the price to £30m.

Berahino, 22, wants to move to Tottenham, and their chairman Daniel Levy will enter the bidding given any encouragement.
