Barcelona continue to be linked with bringing Neymar back to Catalonia and the former Brazil international Mazinho is confident that the Paris Saint-Germain forward can be Lionel Messi's heir at the Blaugrana.
The LaLiga Santander reigning champions unsuccessfully attempted to sign Neymar last summer.
"[Barcelona] would be delighted if he can return tomorrow," Mazinho told Radio MARCA.
"He is Messi's natural replacement.
"There is no other to replace Messi."
Bayern Munich have returned to training amidst the coronavirus crisis, but Mazinho, father of Thiago Alcantara, is reassured that the Bavarian club have taken all the appropriate measures for the players' health.
"[Playing football amidst the coronavirus outbreak] is worrying because it is a complicated situation that we are all experiencing," he said.
"In Germany they are progressing in that sense, with group training.
"You have to be very careful with all this.
"If Bayern do it, they do it because there is no risk and they are providing security to all their footballers.
"My son must work and be as prudent as possible."
