Neymar stars as PSG conquer Old Trafford

Paris Saint-Germain kept their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League alive with a 3-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It was a revenge of sorts for Thomas Tuchel's men, who have recovered from early defeats in the group to United in Paris and RB Leipzig in Germany.

It took just eight minutes for PSG to take the lead in Manchester, with Neymar striding onto a loose ball and beating David de Gea from a tight angle.

The visitors were up in arms later in the first half as Leandro Paredes went down when Fred leaned his head into the Argentine, but VAR only deemed the offence worthy of a yellow card.

United were level not long after, with Marcus Rashford finding space on the edge of the area and seeing his shot deflect in off Danilo Pereira.

The game turned, though, in the space of a couple of second-half minutes as PSG retook the lead through Marquinhos before United's Fred was given a second booking for a challenge on Ander Herrera.

The result was assured in the closing stages as Neymar rounded off a flowing PSG move to secure the points.

PSG, United and Leipzig will go into Matchday 6 level on points, meaning qualification for the knockout stages will go to the wire in Group H.
