The Williams team has announced a contract extension with Alex Albon. The Thai racer will continue to race for the team in 2023. At the same time, the name of his teammate Albon is still unknown – it is believed that Nicholas Latifi can concede his place to another pilot.

Albon jokingly commented on the contract extension on his social media, responding to Oscar Piastri, who yesterday denied signing a contract with Alpin.

As far as I understand, then with my agreement, the Williams team issued a press release saying that I will ride for them next year. This is true and I have signed a contract with Williams for the 2023 season. I will be racing for Williams next year.
